Directory of Game Middleware Solutions
Game middleware is now coming of age. However, many game middleware solutions are still either not supported by all common platforms (not to say next-gen or mobile ones), or not compatible with other complementary middleware solutions. This website intends, first and foremost, to provide an up-to-date reference to the products currently available. But it will also advocate portability and compatibility of middleware solutions, in order to ease developers job and increase gamers satisfaction.
On this website, we use the following abbreviations for common gaming platforms: pc = architecture with Microsoft Windows XP or Vista, pcx64 = architecture with Microsoft Windows XP or Vista x64, ppc = architecture with Microsoft Windows Mobile, xbox = Microsoft XBox, ps = Sony PlayStation, psp = Sony PlayStation Portable, gba = Nintendo Game Boy Advance, gc = Nintendo Game Cube, ds = Nintendo DS, wii = Nintendo Wii, j2me = Java 2 Micro Edition. Non-common gaming platforms include: linux = Linux OS, mac = Apple Mac OS, java = Java Runtime Environment, brew = Qualcomm Brew, symb = Symbian OS, palm = Palm OS. Finally, NA = Not Applicable.
Enjoy!
